🧁 The Great Community Baking Competition! 🍰

Calling all bakers, pastry enthusiasts, and dessert lovers! Do you have a family recipe that always steals the show? Are your cupcakes the talk of the neighborhood? It’s time to preheat your ovens, dust off your rolling pins, and put your skills to the test at our Community Baking Competition!

Not a baker? No problem! We need enthusiastic community members to join our tasting panel and help vote for the "People's Choice" award. Come hungry!

📅 Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, July 18th, 2026

  • Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Location:

    Clear Lake City Community Association
     16511 Diana Ln, Houston, TX 77062, United States

  • Cost: $10 to attend and taste! ($20 entry fee for competitors)

🏆 Competition Categories

Bakers can enter their signature creations into one of three categories:

  1. Cakes & Cupcakes (Decorating skills count!)

  2. Cookies, Brownies, & Bars (The ultimate finger-food desserts)

  3. Pies & Tarts (Looking for that perfect, flaky crust)

Prizes will be awarded for 1st place in each category, along with a grand prize for the overall "Best in Show" and a crowd-sourced "People's Choice" trophy!

✨ Schedule of Events

  • 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM: Competitor drop-off and setup

  • 10:00 AM: Doors open to the public & Community Judging begins!

  • 11:30 AM: Guest Judges' deliberation

  • 12:15 PM: Award ceremony and crowning of the baking champions

  • 1:00 PM: Event concludes

For Bakers:

Space for competitors is limited to ensure proper presentation table space. Pre-registration is required by Monday, July 13th.

  • Your entry fee includes your space in the gymnasium and tasting plates/forks for the public.
