SUPPLEMENTAL COMMUNITY SERVICE CHARGE (SCSC)

Purpose of the SCSC

CLCCA has never increased annual assessment fees since its inception in 1963. A dollar in 1963 is worth about $10 today! The average hourly labor wage in 1963 was $2.50 vs an average of $30 an hour in 2025. Electricity costs increased nearly eight times! If we continue on this same path, all reserves will be exhausted within 4-6 years. Pools will be closed, parks won’t be maintained, and deed restrictions won’t be enforced. The resale value of homes will be directly impacted. Funds collected through the SCSC are intended to support the common general fund of the Clear Lake City Community Association. The purpose of this supplemental charge is to enhance the association’s ability to provide services and maintain shared community resources.

"How much revenue could the SCSC potentially provide?"
